The Adventures at Toxic Beach: (In Development)
Playlist (7 Videos)
Synopsis: Toxic Beach is a story about a hero named Brody Bro, a typical 16 year old boy who was attacked by giant lemons a few months ago, but the whole town seems to have forgotten, but him. As a result, he's left with some psychic powers, where sometimes he gets glimpses into the future. He also has a dog named Buffy, who can talk, since she drank some toxic lemon juice, but only he can hear her. Brody Bro has a true love, Tara, but she doesn't know that yet. He's trying to do everything he can to win her away from her jerk of a jock boyfriend, Biff, who rules Toxic Beach High School with an iron fist. He makes fun of a new boy, named Eddie, who's a little bit like a nerd and writes "WIMP" on his forehead. Eddie then runs to Toxic Beach and hides in a cave and by accident ingests some toxic lemon juice, which turns him into a mad scientist. He develops robots and arms them with toxic lemons to convert all the students to be under his control. Buffy warns Brody Bro about this and tells him that this is his time to finally be the hero. Brody Bro runs to the school to try to save his true love and show her what she means to him, but Brody Bro has to overcome his fear of lemons, as the school is now overrun by toxic lemons. As Buffy coaches him, Brody Bro is able to overcome his fear and save the day, unfortunately no one sees it and Biff takes all the credit in the end. Brody Bro and Buffy return to the beach, but somewhere in the basement of the school, Eddie is converted back to his normal self with no memory of what happened. The mysteriously missing "Dead Becky", a student that everybody thought had died is with him. This is the end of our story, or is it just the beginning? Watch it and you'll find out!

Advanced Post & Story Development Course: This month you will be doing the entire post production for a short film scene titled "Susannah" using Footage, a Script, Storyboards, and a Credits list. Read the script, go through the footage. The Director is looking for a dark, intense feeling for this piece. Try to figure out how to maintain the intensity while editing around the language. The script and storyboards are just guidelines, the Director is giving you, the Editor, full creative license as to how you want to creatively tell this story. You will be graded on various stages of the post production process: rough edit, sound design, title design, and color grade.

Brett Butler Interview:
How did your artist career get off the ground?
It is strange to explain how I got things going. I have self-published and done photography for many years, but I started to sell my art in the street a few years ago. I am now selling in galleries and being booked for art shows and doing workshops on photography and how to film dolls and action figures.
What would you like to accomplish after you graduate Full Sail University in June 2020?
I plan to continue teaching at colleges that I now work for. I don’t see myself giving that up at my age. What I want to do more of is to further grow my business of photographing action figures and dolls. I want to do a solo show of my photography at an art gallery. I hope to start working the comic con circuit to build my brand in the artist alley. I do want to continue to make films and write but only using dolls and action figures. I want to get a continuing story I wrote of two guys titled “Bro Code” off the ground. I really do not want to work with people. My comfort zone is dolls and action figures which is what most people know me for. At my age, I don’t contemplate five to ten years down the road. I just go day by day and see where this path will take me.
What steps do you plan on taking?
The steps that I have been taking, and plan to continue to take, are to enter as many shows as possible, get my scripts and short films out there, and look into securing outside help with management and guidance for my business. I have pushed my way through the door and now I feel it is time to take the next steps. But it has to be in my own way off the mainstream path. I learned a long time ago that you can’t predict your future; you just don’t give up as you go along. I did not plan or follow a certain path; I just put myself out there. After graduation, I will have time to further build the story “Bro Code” and start filming the first episode. The scripts are done and the dolls and sets are ready. So I am planning next year to get it started and to put it out there.
